Roseville, CA – Justin Horner, Director at DCA Partners (“DCA”), has accepted an offer from the Capital Region Family Business Center (“FBC”) to serve on their Board of Directors. His initial three-year term will commence in January 2019.
Mr. Horner has been an FBC volunteer for three years, most recently taking on the role of Vice Chair of the Generations Conference, the FBC’s two-day signature event attracting over 300 attendees. “It’s one thing to do your part as a volunteer, and quite another to want to take on a leadership role on a committee,” said Stephen Fleming, President of the Board. “Justin has done just that, and executed with an outstanding level of quality. I look forward to working with him in a greater capacity as we help family-owned businesses grow and prosper.”
The FBC, established in 2007, aims to be a trusted resource for family-owned businesses in the Sacramento region. Its core values are trust, affinity, education, collaboration, and prosperity. The organization provides an esteemed network of advisors and leaders aimed to help elevate the success of its members.
Over the next year and beyond, the organization will continue to elevate its programs, in terms of quantity of attendees, caliber of speakers, and relevancy of content. “Our Board of Directors is committed to continually evolving and improving our programs,” said FBC Executive Director, Stella Premo. “Justin’s individual contribution has reflected that dedication.”
“Family-owned businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, employing over 80 percent of our workforce and creating 85 percent of new jobs in the US,” offered Horner. “I’m proud to be a part of addressing the unique challenges family business leaders face in growing their businesses and transitioning them seamlessly to their next generation. The FBC’s programs are invaluable resources for this dynamic group.”
Mr. Horner also volunteers for Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada.
