DCA is seeking a Vice President of Investment Banking to lead mergers and acquisitions engagements. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct and immediate contribution while building a rewarding and long-term career working with a variety of clients across diverse sectors.
DCA Partners is a diversified financial services firm. Its boutique Investment Banking group provides buy-side and sell-side merger and acquisition advisory services to middle market companies throughout the United States.
Role and Responsibilities
The Investment Banking Vice President at DCA will be responsible for leading the transaction execution process while acting as the primary point of contact for clients. Specific responsibilities include:
- Leading client engagements while overseeing and coordinating the various members of the deal team
- Operating at a high level of autonomy and playing a leadership role, both during the transaction process as well as within the firm as a whole
- Developing marketing/execution materials and leading the drafting process all the way through material completion
- Overseeing the creation and integrity of financial models, including forecasts, adjustments, and industry and deal-specific analyses as required
- Leading target outreach strategy and calls
- Serving as the primary liaison with other internal and external parties on transactions
- Leading client negotiations and managing due diligence processes
- Building long-term, value-added relationships across core industry sectors in order to drive future deal flow and opportunities
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Highly motivated, committed and responsible, with a demonstrated ability to lead cohesive teams and to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- An unwavering commitment to doing whatever it takes to be successful and to please clients
- A strong track record of success and positive client references
- 5+ years of investment banking or related experience
- Experience using market data tools and technologies, such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson One, Pitchbook, etc.
- Sales and business development skills; ability to engender trust and confidence of potential new clients
- Previous experience with clients in the Food & Ag, Energy, or Technology sectors is beneficial
- Bachelors’ degree minimum, MBA preferred
Compensation & Culture
- DCA provides a competitive base salary between $150k and $200k and potential for a substantial bonus. In addition, the firm offers a robust employee benefits and retirement program
