Roseville, CA – DCA Partners (“DCA”) and Flaherty Capital Markets, LLC (“Flaherty Capital”) are pleased to announce that Farmington Fresh Cuts has been acquired by Arable Capital Partners and will be merged with its portfolio company, Fresh Innovations.
This deal represents another successful transaction for the DCA and Flaherty Capital team in the food and beverage industry. DCA is a regional boutique investment bank focused on underserved western markets, including the Central Valley, and Flaherty Capital advises food and agribusiness companies nationally from its base in Sacramento. DCA and Flaherty Capital team up to provide local clients with high-touch service backed by a strong network and industry expertise.
Headquartered in the California San Joaquin Valley, Farmington Fresh Cuts, founded by the Rajkovich family, pioneered slicing and packaging apples and successfully developed line extensions to other fresh fruit, such as oranges, grapes and pears. The company is a valued supplier to schools and customers in the food service, retail, and restaurant channels throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.
“We felt that combining with Fresh Innovations would best serve our existing customers and provide growth opportunities for our employees” said Nick Rajkovich, Vice President of Farmington Fresh. “Nevertheless, the process of selling to a direct competitor is highly sensitive with a lot of confidentiality issues that complicated the transaction. I’m grateful for DCA and Flaherty Capital in leading us through that minefield and bringing us to a successful result.”
Based in Sacramento, DCA is Central Valley’s leading Investment Banking and Private Equity firm. On the Investment Banking side, DCA helps family-owned and other closely held businesses grow through acquisition (buy-side advisory), or maximize the value they receive in a sale of the business (sell-side advisory). Similarly, the Private Equity Investment arm invests in growing family-owned and other closely held businesses in a broad spectrum of industries throughout the region. DCA can provide investment capital with very flexible structures for a variety of purposes, including growth capital, acquisition financing, and complete company buyouts.
