Roseville-Based Firm Adds Core Talent to Meet Increasing Demand

Roseville, CA – DCA Partners (“DCA”), the region’s leading investment bank and affiliated private equity firm, has experienced significant growth, doubling its number of staff since 2018. This year alone, DCA has added three new key personnel to its M&A and private equity teams.

Tom Arstingstall joined the investment banking arm in February, as a Senior Analyst, to support buyside and sellside transactions with a focus on evaluation and execution of strategic projects. Prior to DCA, Mr. Arstingstall worked at PowerSchool, where he was in charge of budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses for the Company and its private equity partners. Before PowerSchool, Mr. Arstingstall advised large, institutional investors for the private equity firm Mercer Consulting.

“Tom has proven to be an outstanding addition to the team, not only in terms of ability, but also cultural fit,” commented Brent Haapanen, Managing Director at DCA Partners. “He is committed to excellence at every step of the process and has demonstrated a natural instinct in working with business owners and entrepreneurs.”

Lars Bechert is the most recent addition to DCA, joining DCA from Zurich, Switzerland where he worked at the investment banking firm Proventis Partners. As an Associate on the M&A team, Mr. Bechert will be responsible for supporting the execution of the firm’s investment banking engagements, from financial modeling and analysis, to target outreach, process management, and closing.

“Lars’ professional experience and performance are well aligned with the work we do at DCA,” said Curt Rocca, Managing Partner of DCA. “We feel fortunate that Lars and his wife chose to relocate from Europe to Sacramento to be near his wife’s family. Lars’ international experience will provide a unique perspective to our engagements.”

In addition, DCA’s private equity team has been bolstered with the addition of Ben Urbanek as an Analyst. Mr. Urbanek focuses on financial modeling, forecasting, business due diligence, and supporting execution of buyout and structured capital investments. Before joining DCA, Mr. Urbanek provided financial due diligence consulting for KPMG in their transaction advisory practice.

“It’s hard to believe that Ben has only been part of DCA since January—he has made a meaningful impact on the expediency with which we are able to evaluate potential portfolio companies,” said Steve Mills, Partner at DCA Partners. “His attention to detail and knack for analyzing financials have made him a valuable asset to our team.”

While DCA has experienced rapid growth, the firm remains highly selective and deliberate, both in the hiring process and in the clients it accepts. “We are delighted by the increased capacity to work with the region’s most prestigious and promising middle-market companies,” commented Rocca. “We have built our reputation by providing Wall Street quality service to our clients in a local, high-touch manner. That starts by staffing engagements with the best and brightest professionals in the business. These new additions will reinforce our ability to provide world-class service to our clients at every level.”

DCA Partners is hiring another three positions this year: a Fund Accountant, Investment Banking Vice President, and Real Estate Investment Analyst. Interested candidates can contact DCA at careers@dcapartners.com for further details.
