Hi [Name],

As you may know, I am a strong supporter of [Non-profit]. What you may not know is why I am so passionate about this cause. [Brief reason for connection].

Now, more than ever, local non-profits are struggling not only to serve our communities, but to keep their operations afloat. That’s why, in a few short months, I will be competing in the L5 Investments Capital Cup, a golf tournament among fellow Sacramento business leaders to raise funds for local charities and non-profits. I have chosen to support [Non-profit] to further their mission of [mission]. And if my team wins, [Non-profit] will receive a share of the $100,000 grand prize!

Please consider making a contribution (of any comfortable amount) through my fundraising page [link]. All donations go directly to [Non-profit], as well as help me win the grand prize on their behalf—with every $10,000 I raise in advance, I earn a “mulligan,” and for those of you who have seen me play, you know I need all the mulligans I can get!

Thank you for your support and generosity.

Best Regards,

[Joe Golfer]

Hi Team,

As you may know, I am a strong supporter of [Non-profit]. What you may not know is why I am so passionate about this cause. [Brief reason for connection].

In a few short weeks, I will be competing in the L5 Investments Capital Cup, a golf tournament among fellow Sacramento business leaders to raise funds for local charities and non-profits. I have chosen to support [Non-profit] to further their mission of [mission]. And if my team wins, [Non-profit] will receive a share of the $100,000 grand prize!

Donations are tax deductible, so please consider making a contribution (of any comfortable amount) to this worthy cause. To sweeten the deal for [Company name] employees, we will happily [list incentive of your choosing; examples below].

  • Match employee donations
  • Enter all contributing employees into a drawing for ________

Every dollar is critical, because for every $10,000 I raise, I earn a “mulligan”. And, for those of you who have seen me play, you know I need all the mulligans I can get.

Thank you for your support and generosity.

Hi [Name],

I reached out last week to announce my participation in the L5 Investments Capital Cup to raise funds for [Non-profit]. Today, I wanted to share an example of the kind of impact [Non-profit] is making on our community. [Work with Non-profit to identify this and add a bit of color/hyperlink to blog post or article.]

Example: While every kid hopes to spend their summer days enjoying the outdoors, exploring and playing with friends, many families don’t have the time nor means to provide them with that opportunity. That’s why this summer, The Boys and Girls Club of Sacramento partnered with several other local organizations to offer a new daily summer camp for local elementary school students—all entirely for free. Through field trips, crafts, art projects, and outdoor adventures, the program aims to help kids learn new ways of thinking outside the confines of their schoolbooks, and expose them to new avenues for working together and expressing who they are. It’s not just the kiddos who benefited either; the program was supported by a team of Boys and Girls’ Club high school interns, who had the invaluable opportunity to start developing their leadership skills and become comfortable in a professional setting.

The more I raise for [Non-profit] leading up to the tournament, the better chances they’ll have to take home the biggest stake of the $100,000 prize—money that will help programs like this continue to grow and thrive. Donations take no more than two minutes via the following link, and are enormously appreciated by all parties involved: [link]

Thank you so much for your support and for contributing to this most important cause!

Sincerely,

[Joe Golfer]

Hi [Name],

The saga of my L5 Investments Capital Cup fundraising efforts continues! Thanks to the generosity of my friends, family, and colleagues, we have already raised $xx for [Non-profit], a local organization that [mission]. Not only is that X mulligans for me (phew!), but it is an impressive amount of funds that will support an essential program.

[list individuals and businesses who have donated]

Let’s knock the socks off of [Non-profit]—$xx is good, but $xx would be even better! If you have not yet contributed, I’d love to invite you to help us meet this goal by making a donation. Contributions take two minutes, are 100% tax deductible, and are hugely appreciated in any amount.

Thanks again for your valued support!

Best Regards,

[Joe Golfer]

Hi [Name],

As you know, I’m competing in the L5 Investments Capital Cup—a golf tournament among Sacramento business leaders aimed to raise much-needed funds for local charities and non-profits. I have chosen to support [Non-profit], as they [mission].

I could use your help. Every dollar donated will go directly to [Non-profit], and for every $10,000 raised, I earn a mulligan for the tournament—that’s an important detail, because the winning team brings home the grand prize of $100,000 to share among their favorite charities. Now you know why I need those mulligans!

I am sooo close to my fundraising goal of $xx. If you can, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution of any amount.

Thank you for your support. This is a cause very close to my heart and all contributions are immensely appreciated, both by me and [Non-profit].

Best Regards,

[Joe Golfer]

Hi [Name],

The L5 Investments Capital Cup this weekend was a huge success. [details on how you played, how your team played]

[If on winning team] $xx—that is how much you all raised for [Non-profit] before the tournament even began. Congratulations! And the cherry on top? My team’s win means [Non-profit] gets a share of the $100,000 grand prize. That means [Non-profit] took home a grand total of $xxx. This could not have been possible without your incredible support!

[If on losing team] $xx—that is how much you all raised for [Non-profit]. Congratulations—this could not have been possible without your incredible support! While my team’s golf game did not prove victorious this year, [Non-profit] is still thrilled to be able to provide [services/mission] to our local community. Next year, we’re sure to get them a share of that grand prize! (Not a bad excuse to go practice…)

Thank you again for being a part of this fantastic event. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the generosity of my friends, family, and colleagues, and am honored to present [Non-profit] with their donation on your behalf.

Feel free to continue following all the great things [Non-profit] is doing for our community by keeping tabs on their website [Link] and Facebook page [Link]. Until next year!

Cheers,

[Share brief highlights of recent success story or powerful case study highlighting non-profit’s impact on the community]. Example:  So cool! The Boys and Girls Club just added ANOTHER free Summer camp to their roster this July, providing hundreds of Sacramento’s elementary school kids an opportunity to explore our area through nature walks and field trips, as well as enjoy a positive creative environment where they can build, play, and create with their friends. The camp even provided internship opportunities to the Club’s high school students—so great to see these kids developing their leadership skills and getting excited about their future.
